You have already gained your first professional experience in web development and are ready to take the next step? At CHECK24 , you’ll develop digital products that make complex insurance topics simple and user-friendly.

Using PHP, Symfony, TypeScript and React, you’ll develop new features across the full stack, take ownership of your work and use modern AI coding tools as part of your daily development workflow. You’ll work in an environment with short decision-making processes, a high standard of technical quality and the freedom to actively contribute your ideas.

Sounds like you? Then we look forward to receiving your application as a Fullstack Developer (m/f/d) PHP / React, InsurTech at CHECK24 Vergleichsportal für Vorsorgeversicherungen GmbH in Munich.

Your Qualifications

• Academic background: A degree with very good grades in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Information Systems, Software Engineering or a comparable technical field.
• Practical coding experience: Hands-on experience developing software independently, gained through initial professional experience, extensive internships or relevant projects using TypeScript and PHP.
• Tech stack & architecture: Solid understanding of modern web technologies and software architecture, with the motivation to continuously develop our tech stack of PHP, TypeScript, React Router and MySQL. Clean, performant, maintainable and scalable code is a natural part of your work.
• Analytical thinking & ownership: A structured and independent approach to solving problems, combined with the confidence to challenge technical decisions and take ownership of results.
• AI mindset: Initial experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Cursor, along with an interest in integrating AI- and LLM-based features into products and development processes where they create real value.
• Team & language: Fluency in English (C1), a collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working closely with your team on-site in our Munich office. German skills are a plus.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end: Build new applications and features across the full stack and take them from initial concept through to production.
• Turn requirements into solutions: Analyze business and technical requirements, develop sustainable technical concepts, and implement them independently.
• Ensure high quality: Write clean, performant code and use automated testing and code reviews to build stable, maintainable applications.
• Optimize performance & architecture: Continuously improve our systems with a focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability.
• Take ownership: Own features and components from both a functional and technical perspective, contribute your ideas, and work closely with your team to find the best solutions.
• Use AI where it adds value: Leverage modern AI coding tools in your daily development workflow, evaluate new approaches, and integrate AI- and LLM-based features where they create measurable value.

Your Benefits

• Modern work with a real future focus – AI-first instead of old school: You’ll work with modern technologies and use tools like ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude Code, Cursor.ai, and other AI applications as a natural part of your daily routine.
• Growth that’s truly possible: Our strong growth creates real opportunities to take on responsibility quickly and develop both professionally and personally. You’ll benefit from individual training and development options, as well as a broad catalog of learning programs.
• The best of both worlds: With us, you get the security and stability of an established company- combined with the drive, speed, and creative freedom of a startup. We think long-term while giving you the opportunity to actively shape processes and topics.
• Challenging and diverse tasks: Enjoy real creative freedom to actively shape processes, along with direct communication channels to senior management.
• Top equipment from day one: A fully equipped, ergonomic workspace with a high-performance MacBook, additional monitors, and a height-adjustable desk. Need extra gear like noise-cancelling headphones or an ergonomic mouse? You’ll get that too.
• Work-life balance that fits your routine: We work together in the office Monday to Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays. You’ll also have 28 vacation days and the option to take up to 10 days of unpaid leave.
• A strong overall package: In addition to an attractive salary, you’ll benefit from vouchers for many CHECK24 products, strong support for your company pension plan, and generous subsidies for the EGYM Wellpass.
• Food & drinks on the house: Breakfast (with a selection of cereals), lunch, fresh fruit, and hot and cold drinks are available to you free of charge all week. In short: you’ll have plenty to take care of—but not your meals at the office.
• Easy & sustainable commuting: Thanks to our central location, you can easily reach us by public transport or bike. You’ll benefit from a fully covered Deutschlandticket or support for your company bike leasing.
• CHECKito spirit / genuine team culture: We collaborate closely, support each other, and celebrate successes together. Whether at lunch, playing foosball, after-work events, or team and company events - you can expect a relaxed environment with a first-name culture and no dress code.
