Country Sales Manager DACH/CEE

Introduction

We are looking for an experienced, energetic and commercially driven Country Sales Manager DACH & CEE to lead an important phase of transformation and growth. The DACH& CEE team combines deep market knowledge and long-standing customer relationships with the heritage of two organizations that have become part of Pregis. The opportunity is to build on that experience while creating a modern, connected and high-performing sales organization: more data-driven, more focused, more agile and more accountable.

Tasks

• Turn strategy into clear commercial priorities, actions and measurable results.
• Improve sales performance, pipeline management and commercial discipline.
• Build one team across a geographically dispersed organization and different historical backgrounds.
• Get the best from experienced sales professionals while integrating and developing new talent.
• Create a culture of ownership, accountability and continuous improvement.
• Focus on opportunities and what we can influence rather than on what we lack.
• Lead and develop the DACH & CEE sales team and translate commercial strategy into tangible results.
• Combine commercial leadership with people leadership and work closely with Marketing, Customer Service, Operations and Finance.
• Understand the different dynamics of distributor and direct end customer channels, including buying processes, value propositions, relationships, service expectations and the operational realities of logistics and supply.

Profile

• Proven track record in B2B sales leadership and improving commercial performance.
• Strongly data-driven and analytically capable, with the ability to turn insight into action.
• Strong customer and market orientation; understands both direct and distribution models.
• Able to translate strategy into execution and measurable outcomes.
• Experience leading change and modernizing established ways of working.
• A connecting and decisive leader who creates clarity, ownership and accountability.
• Able to work equally well with experienced professionals and enthusiastic starters.
• Fluent in German and English, with strong communication and influencing skills.
• High energy, commercially ambitious and resilient.
• Strong personality: confident and assertive, without needing to dominate.
• Pragmatic, solution-oriented and intellectually curious.
• Comfortable having difficult conversations and making decisions.
• Naturally connects people and creates commitment around common goals.
• Maintains focus and positivity when results are under pressure.
• Thinks: “What can we do about it?” rather than “Why is this happening to us?”

Additional Information

• Leadership & change: You are a builder rather than a caretaker. You challenge established ways of working without dismissing the experience and relationships already present. You know when to listen, when to challenge and when to decide. - You understand that successful leadership in Germany requires credibility, consistency and respect. You are comfortable in an environment where expertise, experience and hierarchy matter, while bringing an energetic, contemporary and forward-looking approach. You build authority through competence, reliability and results rather than hierarchy alone. - What success looks like: You will have built a DACH & CEE sales organization that is more connected, focused, data-driven, accountable, customer-oriented and agile. Experienced people are performing at their best, new talent is developing, and the team is delivering renewed commercial momentum and sustainable growth.
