Senior GenAI Solution Engineer (all genders)

What you can expect from us

We are a technical, implementation-oriented spin-off of a global management consultancy. Our clients are primarily DAX and Fortune Global 500 companies, which we advise on issues in the areas of analytics, big data and machine learning. Within the group, we take on the development of individual and data-driven solutions in order to transform our clients into AI-powered companies. We offer an international working environment with agile teams and creative startup methods as well as above-average remuneration and numerous additional benefits. With our offices in Hamburg, Munich and Düsseldorf and our hub locations in all other major German cities (Berlin, Frankfurt and Stuttgart), we ensure that all colleagues are integrated into our team of experts across Germany.

Your role as a Senior GenAI Solution Engineer:

• End-to-End Development: You drive AI solutions across the full lifecycle - from rapid prototyping and proof-of-concept to deployment in scalable, highly available production environments.
• AI Services Engineering: You build robust backend services in Python that seamlessly integrate state-of-the-art LLMs and perform reliably under production load.
• Autonomous Agent Architecture: You design and implement intelligent agent systems that automate real-world workflows through tool calling and memory management, operating safely within defined guardrails.
• Agentic SDLC: You integrate AI agents into the development lifecycle - from AI-assisted coding and code reviews to automated testing and intelligent documentation - enhancing efficiency across the entire software development process through agentic tools.
• Ensuring Software Excellence: You take ownership of code quality by applying clean architecture principles, implementing automated testing, and establishing efficient CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and reliable deployments.
• Evaluation & Monitoring: You implement frameworks to measure the performance of GenAI solutions (e.g., accuracy, latency, cost) and ensure continuous optimization.
• Consulting: You work directly with clients - facilitating workshops and acting as a sparring partner for business and management stakeholders. You translate complex AI concepts into tangible business impact and co-create the right solutions.
• Technology Sparring: You assess technical feasibility and advise stakeholders on how to turn innovative ideas into sustainable, production-ready products.

Who you are

• Excellent Python Skills (Production-Ready): You have strong expertise in API development (e.g., FastAPI, Pydantic), containerization (Docker), testing (unit and integration), as well as Git and CI/CD - well beyond notebook-based scripting.
• Rapid Prototyping: Ability to quickly build and visualize demos and proof-of-concepts.
• Strong Architectural Understanding: You apply SOLID principles, Clean Architecture, dependency injection, and async/concurrency patterns in a structured way, and leverage ORMs (e.g., SQLAlchemy) for clean and efficient database interactions.
• Hands-on Experience with Multimodal LLM APIs: Proficient in working with leading models (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic) and cloud platforms (e.g., Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock).
• Advanced GenAI Engineering: Strong command of prompt engineering, structured outputs (JSON), and tool/function calling.
• RAG Expertise (End-to-End): Experience in building full pipelines - from embeddings and vector databases (e.g., pgvector) to advanced retrieval, re-ranking, and evaluation.
• Agent Development: Experience in designing and orchestrating autonomous systems (e.g., with Pydantic AI), including memory management and guardrails.
• Consulting Skills: Experience working directly with clients. You are able to facilitate workshops, present results, and confidently navigate complex stakeholder environments.
• Languages: Fluent in German (C1), with professional proficiency in English.
• Education: Completed degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Data Science, Information Systems, or a comparable field (Bachelor’s degree or higher).
• Willingness to travel:  You are willing to work on-site at the client’s premises on a regular basis
