What you need to be successful:

Background & Skills

• Master's degree in business/economics, finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in risk management, financial risk controlling, or capital planning within the banking sector.
• Strong understanding of ICAAP frameworks with a focus on Pillar 1 and the normative perspective, stress testing, and regulatory requirements (e.g., MaRisk, CRR, EBA guidelines, MaSan, SAG).
• Proven experience in risk reporting and relevant risk methods (e.g., risk bearing capacity, risk inventory, capital planning, recovery plan).
• Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, with an ability to translate complex risk concepts into actionable insights and a technical affinity to help automate workflows and simplify risk controlling processes.
• Detail oriented and reliable with a professional attitude, as you will contribute to sensitive risk controlling topics on which management decisions are made.
• Excellent communication skills in English and the ability to effectively engage stakeholders; proficiency in German is a strong advantage for interacting with local regulators and stakeholders
