About ONIQ
ONIQ is building a new software category for the next generation of manufacturing operations. Our platform helps industrial companies understand what is happening across their production processes, uncover where efficiency is lost and act on the opportunities that matter most.
We bring together manufacturing expertise, advanced software and AI to help teams improve production at scale. The goal is to make production more efficient, more resilient and more sustainable, and to help teams make better decisions where they matter most.
We are a highly motivated team with a strong sense of ownership and passion for what we do. Our entrepreneurial mindset and commitment to innovation have enabled us to grow fast and help shape the future of manufacturing with cutting-edge software. At ONIQ, culture is just as important as product. We foster an environment rooted in authenticity, diversity, integrity, and mutual respect, where everyone is encouraged to bring their whole self to work.
What you will do
As part of our Product Team, you will drive the frontend development of our ONIQ software and realize frontend features and UI/UX workflows in close collaboration with product management. You will work in a self-managed and self-organized manner according to Agile and DevOps principles and practices. Together with the Product Team, you will:
- Develop our frontend web application, e.g. creating analysis workflows for our customers based on complex production data, developing the architecture of the application, developing visualizations that render large amounts of data, writing tests and enhancing our testing capabilities
- Own features from start to end. Get to shape the feature while collaborating with other team members across the organization and actively contribute towards providing a great UI/UX to enterprise manufacturing companies
- Maintain and extend frontend codebase, keep the UI/UX code consistent across the application, avoiding technical debt and adhering to security best practices
- Actively participate in the agile development process and continuously improve the team's development practices
- Participate in knowledge transfer across the team
What we expect from you
- Experience working as a frontend developer (React, TypeScript, CSS and HTML), ideally featuring data-intensive applications and advanced analytics tools
- Knowledge of testing frameworks (Jest/Vitest, Storybook, Cypress)
- Ability to leverage modern AI-assisted development tools
- Interest in being challenged by developing a scalable web app with a strong UX focus to deliver process insights to our customers based on big data
- Willingness to immerse yourself and become an expert in a SaaS B2B product for manufacturing processes and the manufacturing domain in general
- High levels of organizational skills, ability to work independently with a strong sense of ownership
- Excellent communication skills in English, in particular the ability to explain complex topics
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with Python (pandas, polars, FastAPI) is a big plus but not required
- Motivation to spend time with the team in person. We value the energy that comes from working together at our Cologne or Berlin office, so one on-site day per week is the minimum, and more time together is always welcome whenever it works for you
What we offer
- A culture built on transparency, integrity and authenticity – we trust and respect each other and make decisions based on competence
- A fast-paced, agile environment where you can take on as much responsibility as you feel ready for as well as actively shape our product and user experience
- A team that genuinely cares about collaboration and work culture: we regularly reflect on our teamwork, invest work time into team spirit and consciously create balance in everyday work
- The opportunity to contribute to fighting climate change by helping industrial manufacturers to become more efficient and to reduce their CO₂ emissions, while we are mindful of our own environmental impact as a carbon-neutral company
- All the benefits that make work more pleasant: flexible hours, part-time options, remote work possibilities, regular team events and offsites, 30 days PTO, weekly yoga sessions, Deutschlandticket, Urban Sports Club and more
