Founder's Associate (Growth & Product Marketing) (m/f/d)

We are looking for a smart, structured and relentless executer who works directly with our founder and growth leadership - someone who can own multiple big themes at once, ship at high quality, and has the taste to make it all look great on top.

✅ About Klar

• Klar is the Data Operating System for growing eCommerce companies - Klar gives eCom brands a holistic understanding of their business across their three main drivers of growth: customer acquisition, retention and profitability.
• We work with over 1,000 eCom brands - leading brands like Holy, Loop Earplugs, Wild, LFDY, Armed Angels and hundreds more use Klar to make better decisions every day.
• We deeply empathise with the struggles of our customers - after having worked most of the last 10 years in e-commerce companies, we know their pain and built Klar to help.
• Our guiding principle is Do Work You Are Proud Of - we emphasize long-term quality over short-term results.

Tasks

🤝 About The Position

You work directly with the people driving Klar's growth: our CEO Max (former CMO of yfood) and our Growth Lead Stephan (former agency CEO and founder himself). You are part of the growth team - with a direct line to the founder whenever your topics touch his.

Four years ago, we hired a Founder's Associate fresh out of her first job in finance. She became the person who helped build Klar into what it is today - across operations, marketing, communications and everything in between. She set the bar extremely high. Now she's moving on to her next chapter, and we are looking for the person to take over.

Let's be clear about what this role is: it is an execution role . You own big themes end-to-end, shape how they are run, and are measured on what you ship - not on ideas, moodboards or strategy decks.

These are the themes you will own:

🚀 Product Marketing

• In the age of AI, features are easily copied - how you communicate them and the position you take up in your customer's mind is what truly sets a product apart.
• Together with Max, develop and execute our product marketing strategy and positioning - consistently across every medium: website, sales collateral, case studies and beyond
• Plan and ship product announcements and customer communication (email, in-app, banner - via Intercom and Beehiiv)
• Turn customer results into case studies that close deals
• Build and maintain the presentations and sales collateral our team uses every day

📈 Growth Engine You support our growth team in keeping the inbound machine running.

• Own our newsletter end-to-end - from content to send-out
• Keep our website - our storefront - sharp, current and converting
• Support the growth team on campaigns wherever an extra pair of strong hands is needed

🎪 Events & Community

• Our events are a core part of our flywheel - you make sure our presence matches our ambition.
• Act as the bridge between Max and our events team
• Run timelines, deliverables and follow-ups so nothing falls through the cracks

⚡ Automation & Data Ops

• You make sure data lands where it's supposed to go - without anyone touching a spreadsheet twice.
• Build automated workflows with HubSpot, Zapier and AI tools
• Make sure leads, contacts and campaign data flow reliably between our systems

The beauty of this role: within each theme, you have real freedom in how you get there. We care about outcomes, not process. At the same time, the job is not to be brilliant at one theme - it's to keep all of them moving at high quality simultaneously. Prioritization, structure and follow-through are the actual skills here.

And one more thing: almost everything you ship is customer-facing. So while this is not a design job, "looks fine" doesn't ship at Klar. You need the taste to know the difference - and the tools (AI included) to close the gap yourself.

You will receive mentorship from people who have spent the last decade building high-growth companies and agencies - and learn what usually takes years to figure out on your own.

Requirements

💪 About You

• You are the smartest person in the room - or at least you have been until now. We are looking for someone that just gets things and can connect the dots.
• You are an executer, not just a thinker - think McKinsey work ethic without the 200-slide deck. You break big goals into concrete tasks, work through them relentlessly, and things that land on your desk get done . People who have worked with you describe you as "the most reliable person I know."
• You can juggle - multiple parallel themes don't stress you, they energize you. You bring your own structure, prioritize ruthlessly, and never let a ball drop silently.
• Humble & Hungry - you don't want the ordinary, you strive for greatness. At the same time you know that you still have a long way to go and are willing to work your butt off to get there. No task is too low for you.
• You are numbers-driven - you measure what you ship (open rates, conversion, engagement) and iterate based on data, not opinion. You are a spreadsheet-pro with cross-disciplinary interest.
• You write well - in German and English - clear, sharp, no fluff. Much of this role is turning complex topics into communication people actually want to read.
• You have taste on top - this is the bonus that makes the profile rare: you notice when a slide is off, and with modern AI tools you produce output at near-pro level. To be explicit: if your main motivation is "I love design", this is not your role. Design is the polish, execution is the job.
• You are at the beginning of your career - no matter if you are fresh out of university or already have a few years of experience. How well you fit the above description matters more than anything else.

Benefits

⚙️ Our Offer

• We are invested in your development - we want this to be the position that changes your trajectory and catapults your career 5 years forward.
• Real ownership from day one - you inherit themes that are already up and running, with the mandate to make them your own. No months of "shadowing" - you ship in week one.
• Massive exposure to the eCom & SaaS industry - if you want to work for a eCom brand later or even start your own SaaS company, you will be equipped for every possible problem thrown at you.
• Top-of-market compensation - we might not be able to pay you the same as Goldman, but we want the best and we don't expect them to be cheap.
• Work from anywhere * - we are based in Munich and while we are building Klar as a remote-first company, we'd prefer this person to also be based here because it'll be extremely hands-on. But if you want to work from Spain for a month in summer, no problem.

🏃 Our Process

Since we are growing like crazy and have big plans, the starting date is ideally tomorrow. But for the right candidate, we are willing to wait. Quality always pays off.

Most of the process for this position will be handled by Max.

• I review your application - apart from your CV, feel free to include a few words on what motivates you to join Klar.
• We meet - I want to understand what drives you and where you want to be in the future. You can ask me anything you want - nothing is off the table. I will tell you more about our vision for Klar, plus we'll see whether our expectations align.
• You do a small case - a real task from this role (e.g. a product announcement from brief to ready-to-ship). We want to see how you structure, execute and finish - not how you brainstorm.
• You meet the team - we value strong fit and alignment within our team. This gives you and us a chance for a final check.
• You get an offer - and hopefully sign it ✌️

If all goes well, this process should be done within 1 week.
