Senior Solution Consultant (Pre-Sales) - DACH

AMPECO is one of the most innovative companies in the area of electric vehicle charging infrastructure – an industry that aims to change the world by making charging easier for everyone. As electric vehicles (EVs) are bringing in a transformation of our transport and mobility sectors, AMPECO is at the forefront of a grand revolution and we’re just getting started.

Our product – the AMPECO EV Charging Platform is a business-critical SaaS platform used by companies to manage their electric vehicle charging infrastructure, processes and energy use. It’s already in use by companies in more than 70 countries — across North and South America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia.

Our team is highly motivated, capable, and committed to our mission — and our growth is backed by world-class investors, including BMW i Ventures, the mobility-focused venture-capital arm of the BMW Group. We are looking to expand the team with like-minded capable people, eager to give, learn and grow together with us.

About the role

AMPECO is expanding across the DACH region, and we’re looking for a Germany-based Senior Solution Consultant - responsible for pre-sales across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland - to help drive that growth. This is a senior, individual-contributor role for someone who combines deep product and industry expertise with the interpersonal range to win the confidence of technical and business stakeholders alike.

You will be the solutioning counterpart to our DACH Business Development Manager - the two of you working as a close-knit team on the region’s most important opportunities. While the BDM leads the commercial relationship, you own the solution end to end: mapping each prospect’s business needs to AMPECO’s platform, leading demonstrations and Proof-of-Concept engagements, owning bid management for DACH opportunities — from RFx and tenders through to the supporting business case — and making the complex feel clear for everyone in the room.

You won’t be doing this alone. You’ll be enabled by an established Solution Consulting team, with proven tools, practices, and methodologies behind you — so you can put your energy into the deals in front of you. AMPECO already powers some of the most prominent Charge Point Operators in the DACH region and is in active conversations with many of the rest, so you’ll be joining at a moment of real momentum and clear opportunity to expand. As we continue to grow across Germany and the wider region, the impact you make here will be significant — with room to grow alongside it.

If you thrive in fast-paced, complex enterprise environments, enjoy working with highly driven teams, and want to play a pivotal role in the energy transition in one of Europe’s most important EV markets, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of AMPECO’s platform and the e-mobility industry, with a strong grasp of the DACH market and its requirements;
• Act as the solutioning lead on strategic DACH opportunities, working hand in hand with the DACH Business Development Manager to map each prospect’s business needs to AMPECO’s capabilities;
• Drive Proof-of-Concept engagements with prospective clients, ensuring the business drivers are sound, relevant, and build a compelling case to advance the opportunity;
• Design and deliver effective demonstrations that connect AMPECO’s solution advantages to prospects’ business and technical requirements;
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with the key stakeholders involved in DACH deals, becoming a credible advisor throughout the sales cycle;
• Take an active advisory role during sales cycles, bringing solution expertise and industry best practices to the team;
• Own bid management for DACH opportunities — taking end-to-end responsibility for RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and tenders, from structuring and writing the response to coordinating input across teams and managing deadlines;
• Represent AMPECO at industry events across the region and stay close to market trends, the competitive landscape, and evolving customer needs;
• Travel across the DACH region as needed for customer engagements, workshops, and events.

Your Profile

• 6+ years of professional experience, including 3+ years in a pre-sales, solution consulting, or similar sales-focused role within enterprise or B2B software;
• Native-level German and fluent English, both spoken and written — you will work with German-speaking enterprise customers daily;
• Strong pre-sales execution skills: solution design, demonstrations, Proof-of-Concepts, and bid / RFx management;
• Tech-savvy and a fast learner on technical topics — comfortable holding technical conversations and explaining how the platform works, without needing to be a deeply technical specialist or engineer;
• A confident communicator, able to build rapport and credibility with senior business and technical stakeholders and to present complex topics clearly;
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure complex challenges and shape solutions for evolving business models;
• Strong business acumen — able to articulate customer value and connect AMPECO’s platform to strategic outcomes;
• Based in Germany, self-driven and well-organised, and comfortable operating effectively in a remote, distributed team across the DACH region;
• Naturally curious, with a genuine interest in continuously learning about the product and the industry;
• A collaborative team player who works seamlessly with Sales, Product, and other specialists;
• Motivated to build a long-term career in the e-mobility sector.

Considered an advantage

• Domain knowledge in mobility, energy, or a related sector;
• Familiarity with EV charging technology and standards such as OCPP, OCPI, or ISO 15118;
• Experience working in a SaaS or PaaS environment with long, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles;
• Background in consulting or professional services;
• Experience in enterprise sales;
• Fluency in an additional European language (e.g. French, Italian).

What we offer

• Competitive salary and benefits package;
• Flexibility to work from anywhere in Germany or from a modern co-working space in Munich's Werksviertel, near Ostbahnhof;
• Opportunity to grow with a mission-driven startup in a high-impact industry.

Our team at AMPECO is deeply committed to our mission and we're looking for like-minded individuals eager to give, learn and grow with us. If you're passionate about innovative technology and want to make a real impact in the e-mobility sector, we want to hear from you. Join AMPECO in building the future of EV charging!

Our interview process is entirely remote. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
