(Senior) Talent Acquisition Partner - 6 months contract

Solaris is Europe’s leading embedded finance platform, pioneering Banking-as-a-Service to bridge the gap between financial technology and licensed banking. Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Berlin, Solaris enables fintechs, digital ecosystems, and multinationals to embed accounts, cards, lending, and payments directly into their own products, creating seamless financial experiences for their users. As a fully licensed German bank, Solaris combines the highest standards of IT security and regulatory resilience with a modular, highly scalable infrastructure.

Today, Solaris is driving the next evolution of financial services by transitioning into an AI-native banking platform, ensuring European businesses can deploy secure, adaptable financial products at scale.

Why join Solaris?

• 🚀 We are fundamentally redesigning banking processes around AI orchestration, standardized modular building blocks, and embedded regulatory compliance.
• 🎯 We combine tech and banking in dedicated hubs - driving the technology infrastructure out of Berlin and banking operations out of Frankfurt.
• 💡 Through our internal mobility, growth opportunities, and the Solaris Academy, we offer continuous learning tracks, AI ambassador mentorship, and upskilling to keep your skills ahead of the curve.
• ⚖️ We foster a workplace rooted in integrity, proactive risk management, and equality actively driving initiatives like DEI initiatives.

This is a highly autonomous, individual-contributor and a very hands-on role for a 6-month contract, open to being based in either Berlin or Frankfurt. We offer flexibility in your schedule, welcoming candidates looking for either a full-time (40 hours) or reduced (30-32 hours) weekly work setup.

You will operate as a strategic talent partner for leaders across both technical and non-technical business units, helping them define great talents, build robust pipelines, and secure critical hires. In our fast-paced and changing environment where priorities can rapidly evolve, you will take full ownership of your search portfolio and drive hiring outcomes from day one.

Your Role

• Own full-cycle recruiting for a diverse portfolio of technical and non technical roles within the German market, managing everything from initial role scoping to final offer acceptance.
• Lead comprehensive kick-offs with hiring managers to set a high talent bar, align expectations with market realities, and provide consultative pushback when necessary.
• Screen talents with a critical eye, moving beyond surface-level polish to accurately assess a candidate experience against role's requirements.
• Proactively hunt and engage both passive and active talent, generating competitive and diverse candidate pools even within highly constrained talent markets.
• Champion a structured interviewing framework that thoroughly and fairly evaluates skills while delivering an outstanding, candidate-centric experience.
• Partner closely with the Works Council (Betriebsrat) to ensure smooth, compliant processing of all hiring decisions, internal approvals, and employment offers.
• Collaborate with people partners to design competitive compensation packages and navigate complex negotiations to successfully close talents.
• Monitor and analyze key recruitment metrics (e.g. conversion rates, time-in-stage, offer acceptance, calibration, etc) to proactively manage pipeline health and provide data-backed recommendations to stakeholders.
• Contribute to the ongoing process improvement and automation of the recruiting area by refining and documenting recruitment best practices, playbooks, and workflows.

We'd love to see

Depending on your level of experience, your responsibilities and scope of role will range. We don’t care much about fancy titles, but rather about real personal and professional development, as laid out in our learning framework. Let’s figure together out how you can contribute to our team.

• 4 - 6 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a track record of closing candidates in competitive markets.
• Demonstrated experience recruiting broad technical and banking/fintech roles in the German market, with working knowledge of local talent dynamics, compensation norms, and employment practices.
• Proficiency with an applicant tracking system like Greenhouse and other modern sourcing tools
• Business fluent in English; German language skills are a strong plus.
• Ability to build trust quickly with senior hiring managers in fast-moving, scalable environments.
• Willingness and ability to build technical and business depth quickly enough to run credible intake sessions and screens.
• Proven ability to maintain quality under volume pressure and manage multiple complex searches at once.
• Genuine interest in the financial services or banking space and an understanding of the critical role recruiting plays in it.
• Comfort with ambiguity and with improving or building processes rather than just running an established playbook.
• A self-starter who works independently while staying aligned with internal hiring practices and compliance standards.
• Comfortable working with AI tools, thinking critically about AI outputs, and contributing to a culture of responsible AI use. We expect you to demonstrate comfort with AI-assisted workflows and a willingness to continuously develop their AI capabilities as the technology evolves.

Benefits

• 28 days of vacation per year (prorated to 14 days for the 6-month duration).
• Monthly meal allowance to support your day-to-day.
• Deutschland ticket subsidy.
• Flexible working environment, including the possibility to work temporarily from abroad (subject to internal policies for short-term contracts).

While job ads usually paint an ideal picture of a candidate, studies show that most applicants meet an average of 60% of the criteria. Unfortunately, many promising candidates tend to apply only if they meet all the criteria. So if you think you have what it takes, but don't necessarily meet every single item in the job description, please contact us anyway. We'd love to talk with you and find out if you might be a good fit for us.
