Working Student Analytics Engineer (m/w/d)

As a Working Student Analytics Engineer, you will get hands-on with the systems and data that power decisions across the entire business. You will write real SQL, ship production dbt models, help maintain a modern data warehouse, and see your work land in the reports leadership actually runs on. This is a part-time (Werkstudent) role where you take ownership of your own small projects end to end, from raw data to actionable insight, with room to grow your responsibilities as your skills develop.

PERGOLUX designs and sells Scandinavian-inspired outdoor living products, from pergolas to garden furniture, directly to consumers. With around 300 employees, 9-figure revenue, and operations across 8 markets, we build our data systems with the same care and precision as our products, guided by integrity, innovation, ambition, and unity.

What You'll Do

• Help build and maintain our Snowflake data warehouse with dbt, and contribute to the migration of our ERP pipelines
• Support the team in defining and developing core metrics that steer business performance
• Build and iterate reports in Looker, turning raw data into insights the business acts on
• Monitor data health, proactively flagging gaps, freshness issues, and quality problems
• Take on your own small projects across the stack (Airbyte for ingestion, Snowflake as the warehouse, Python for the messy bits, dbt for transformation and orchestration) and ship them

What You'll Bring

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program (Data Science, Statistics, CS, Business Analytics, or related), or a solid self-taught track record
• Solid SQL fundamentals, comfortable writing complex queries and full-fledged models well beyond a basic SELECT
• Business intuition: before running a query, you weigh whether asking "why does this number look like that?" will drive real decisions
• Technical curiosity about end-to-end data architecture and a critical mindset for getting the most out of AI tools while knowing where they fall short, plus professional working proficiency in English
• Nice to have: exposure to dbt, Airbyte, Snowflake, Looker, or Python; familiarity with e-commerce data (Shopify, Klaviyo, GA4); a GitHub, portfolio, or side project you are proud to talk about

💼 Compensation — Competitive salary · Company pension plan · Capped overtime, fully paid, no endless unpaid crunch

🚀 Growth and Career Development — You will work alongside a lean, senior data team who explain the "why" instead of just handing you tickets, take real ownership of shippable projects from the start, gain full-stack exposure to a modern data platform and a live ERP migration, and build fast-track career momentum and a resume-worthy portfolio as PERGOLUX scales.

⏰ Time Off and Flexibility — Up to 30 vacation days, starting at 27 · One week per year remote workation in EU/UK

🌟 Benefits and Lifestyle

• International, collaborative team, working with colleagues across Europe
• Regular team events (summer party, Christmas party, after-work gatherings) and retreats
• Modern setup and laptops (Apple or Windows)
• Employee discounts on PERGOLUX products
• Jobrad / Bike leasing program, promoting sustainable and healthy commuting
