Staff Software Engineer (m/f/d)

Activities

• Own significant parts of our ad-serving and event-tracking path end-to-end, from design through production, including a share of the on-call rotation.
• Ship changes that cross the stack in one go, including Go services, dbt models, Terraform modules, and GitOps manifests.
• Keep the hot path fast and resilient by profiling, caching, and managing latency and throughput.
• Ensure data correctness and affordability through consistent event schemas, idempotent pipelines, and BigQuery spend management.
• Help shape platform architecture decisions, including multi-region rollout, storage choices, and streaming vs. batch processing.

Requirements

• 8+ years in software engineering, with 3+ years building data-intensive or latency-sensitive systems in production.
• Strong, current experience with Go in production, or deep experience in another systems language (Java, Rust, C++) with a willingness to write Go.
• Solid SQL and data modeling skills, with hands-on experience in columnar warehouses like BigQuery and event streaming systems.
• Real performance instincts, including experience tuning Postgres, Redis, connection pools, and gRPC under load.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitOps.

A 30-minute conversation to get to know each other. We’ll share more about the role, the team, and the company, and you can ask any first questions.

• Tech Call

A deeper, hands-on discussion with your future teammates. We might exchange on technical concepts and tools, and talk about what matters most to you in your day-to-day work.

• Final Evaluation

A final evaluation to get a feel for our culture, our mission, and the energy we bring to building something meaningful. This could be a live session where you have to show how you approach specific challenges and real use cases we have.
