Key Account Manager WEEU - all genders
What you will enjoy doing
We're building something new: ALPLA's Western Europe Sales organization is currently taking shape, and we're looking for a Key Account Manager - based in Munich - to help build it from the ground up. In this role, you'll be the commercial face of ALPLA for some of our most important regional and international customers while having a real influence over how our WEEU business grows in the years ahead.
What You'll Be Doing
- Own and grow a portfolio of strategic regional and international customer relationships, from the local buyer to the corporate decision-maker
- Build joint business plans with your key accounts and turn them into long-term, profitable partnerships
- Spot new business opportunities within your existing accounts and in the wider market, and lead the commercial negotiations that turn them into signed deals
- Coordinate sales activity and customer strategy across multiple WEEU countries, working hand in hand with local sales teams
- Support tenders and large regional projects, and keep pricing, budgets and forecasts for your accounts on track
- Monitor market developments, competitor activities, customer trends, risks, and growth opportunities, and proactively share insights across the organization to support business decisions.
- Team up with Operations, Procurement, Product Development and Finance to bring innovation and new products to your customers
What makes you great
- A degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Engineering or a related field
- 5–8 years of experience in Key Account Management, Sales or Business Development, ideally in packaging, FMCG, plastics or another industrial sector
- A track record of managing multinational customers and negotiating complex contracts
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, comfortable with CRM tools and business planning
- A natural at building relationships, influencing stakeholders and thinking strategically while staying results-driven and hands-on
- Fluent language skills in English; additional European languages are a plus
- Willingness to travel across WEEU countries and to your customers (up to 50%)
What you can expect working with us
- A genuine seat at the table as we build the WEEU organization from scratch. Your ideas will shape how this region works, not just how it's executed
- Direct exposure to Country General Managers, Sales Directors and Senior Leadership across the region
- An international environment with close collaboration across regions, functions, and cultures
- The backing of a global, family-owned company with the stability to invest in long-term partnerships and the flexibility to move fast on new opportunities
- A varied role that blends strategic account planning with practical, on-the-ground negotiation
- Professional onboarding, continuous development opportunities, and access to a strong global sales network
- Flat hierarchies, short decision-making paths, and a collaborative working atmosphere
