Working Student - Content Marketing

About Staffbase

We inspire people to achieve great things together. Our mission is to help organizations unlock the power of inspirational communication with the first AI-native Employee Experience Platform . Our industry-leading and award-winning agentic AI communications channels - intranet, employee app and email solutions - create engaging experiences that connect and empower employees.

Headquartered in Chemnitz, Germany and New York City, with offices in Berlin, London, Sydney, Tokyo, Prague, and Minneapolis–St. Paul, our diverse team of 550+ employees supports 1,500+ customers—reaching over 14 million employees—in transforming their employee experience.

We are proud to be a Unicorn company—privately valued at over $1 billion—demonstrating strong growth, innovation, and lasting impact in our industry. Together, we’re shaping the future of workplace communication.

We are currently looking for a talented and motivated Working Student to join our Market Narrative team. As a Working Student, you will get hands-on with content that real customers and prospects read and watch. You’ll learn how a B2B content operation works from the inside, including how we use AI in our daily work, and you’ll own real deliverables from day one.

We offer a 20-hour/week fixed-term contract for approximately 1 year, and you would be based in our Chemnitz oder Berlin office.

What you’ll be doing

• You translate and adapt content between English and German so it reads naturally, not like a translation
• You use AI tools such as Claude to speed up research, drafting, translation, and quality checks, always with human review
• You publish and maintain content in Storyblok, our CMS
• You write and edit German-language copy
• You occasionally support our PR work, such as global press releases and research announcements like our Forrester study
• You keep our knowledge base fresh by updating and improving the sources that inform it
• You contribute to the monthly content roundup of the Communicorn Compass
• You edit videos for content and social use
• You support the team with research, proofreading, and quality checks on content
• You learn how a content and PR team plans, creates, and publishes at scale, and how the two work together to shape a brand’s story
• You learn how to use AI tools like Claude responsibly and effectively in content work
• You learn how content gets structured and optimized for search and AI-driven discovery
• You get mentoring from an experienced team while working with a CMS and editorial guidelines in a fast-moving tech company

What you need to be successful

• Excellent German and English language skills - both written and spoken
• Confident writing in German, plus the ability to review and edit text in both languages
• Bonus: working knowledge of French and/or Spanish
• Video editing skills (iMovie or similar)
• Genuine interest in marketing, content creation, or writing
• Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to jump in and figure things out
• You’re enrolled at a university (any subject; we care about interest, not major)

What you'll get

• Learning Curve - as a Working Student at Staffbase, you’ll be fully integrated to the team and gain valuable experiences that help you to foster your future career. We’re often hiring former working students as full-time employees after their student time with us
• Recharge - with 31 vacation days annually (incl. one floating holiday , pro rata for fewer than 5 working days per week), plus pro rata fully paid Fridays off during August
• Volunteer Day - you’ll get one day off per year for supporting a social project
• Hybrid Work - as a working student, you will join the office regularly to get the best learning experience. But for times you work from home, we support you with an extra monitor, keyboard, computer mouse and headset
• Employee Referral Program - one of your friends is a fit to one of our full-time openings? Refer them and get a referral bonus paid
