Forward Deployed Engineer – SAP (m/f/d)

About Qorelo

Almost every company running SAP faces the same task: the move to SAP S/4HANA. These programmes run for years, cost tens of millions, and regularly stall at the same point. Nobody fully understands the legacy landscape that has grown over decades.

That is where Qorelo comes in. We are building the AI platform for S/4HANA transformation. Qorelo reads code, processes, documentation and how the system is actually used, makes the existing landscape transparent, and delivers the fit-to-standard analysis in weeks instead of months. We take a clean core, target-architecture-first approach and carry it end to end across SAP Activate, from Discover to Realize. The knowledge stays with the customer afterwards, long after the system integrators have moved on.

We have raised $3.5M from HPI Ventures, the fund tied to the institute of SAP co-founder Hasso Plattner, along with other strong backers. We already work with Fortune 500 and DAX 40 companies, including Mercedes-Benz.

The role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you are Qorelo’s technical face at the customer. You run workshops and demos on the customer’s real SAP landscape, get Qorelo connected to their systems and tools, and make sure the platform delivers on their data and their processes. Then you bring what you learned back to our engineers.

You work directly with our engineering team and solution architects, report to Marino, our CTO, and spend a real share of your time with customers, both on site and remotely.

What you will own

• SAP connectivity. RFC connections, technical users and authorisations. You make the connection work and explain it to Basis and security teams in their language.
• Workshops and demos on real environments. You run on-site workshops of several hours and show Qorelo on the customer’s own SAP landscape, not a sandbox: their custom code, their processes, their data. You prepare together with sales and our solution architects, and you handle the technical questions in the room.
• Integrations. You connect the customer’s tools to Qorelo through our existing integrations across the SAP, Atlassian, Microsoft and similar ecosystems, and make sure they work on the customer’s landscape.
• The feedback loop. What you see at customers (where the product wins, where it falls short, what they asked for) comes back to engineering and product as clear, concrete feedback. You are the engineering team’s eyes and ears at the customer.

What you need

• 5+ years in technical, customer-facing roles around SAP: technical SAP consultant, solutions or presales engineer, or an engineer who spent much of their time with customers.
• Solid SAP technical understanding: you know how an SAP landscape fits together (ECC, S/4HANA), what RFC connections, technical users and authorisations are, and what a Basis team will ask you. You do not need to be an ABAP developer.
• Enough technical depth to set up and troubleshoot a connection with the customer’s IT: credentials, firewalls, proxies, VPN, certificates.
• Strong presence in the room: you can run a five-hour workshop with consultants, IT leads and process owners, demo live on their system, and keep it on track when something does not work.
• Real AI curiosity: you use LLM tools yourself and can explain clearly what Qorelo does and where its limits are.
• Willingness to travel within Europe for on-site demos and workshops.
• Fluent English. German is a plus for our DACH client base.

You might be a fit if

• You have been the person customers want in the room for the demo, and the one consultants call when the connection does not work.
• You have worked at an SAP consultancy, system integrator or SAP software vendor and want to be closer to a product.
• You enjoy a full day of workshops at a customer and can still explain clearly afterwards what worked, what did not and why.
• You have taken software through an enterprise IT and security onboarding and know why it takes as long as it does.

What we offer

• Real ownership . Meaningful equity and a direct hand in how Qorelo runs in the field. We are looking for people who want to shape a company, not join one.
• Competitive salary , benchmarked for senior customer-facing technical talent in Berlin.
• The problems. Fortune 500 and DAX 40 production landscapes, including Mercedes-Benz. You work at the core of SAP systems most engineers never get to touch.
• The team. Short paths, fast decisions, and a direct line to our CTO, our founding engineer and our solution architects.
• 25 days paid vacation + German public holidays.
• Company offsites with the whole team.
• An office at the Wasserturm in Prenzlauer Berg – where you work when you are not with customers. The fridge is stocked.
• Wellhub membership , top-tier equipment and access to the latest AI tools.

Hiring process

• Intro call with Gaspar, our founding engineer (30 min)
• Deep dive on your SAP and customer-facing background with Marino, our CTO (60 min)
• Practical case: a workshop and live demo simulation with our engineers and solution architects
• Offer
