[OUR JOURNEY] Founded in 2016 and launched in 2017 by Alexandre https://www.linkedin.com/in/aprot/ and Steve https://www.linkedin.com/in/steveanavi/, Qonto has grown to 1,700 Qontoers serving over 750,000 customers across 8 European countries. We have been profitable since 2023, and we are just getting started.

[OUR BELIEFS] We hire for skills and potential. With 80+ nationalities, 45% women, of which 56% of women in our leadership team, diversity isn't a program; It's who we are. We've built a discrimination-free hiring process https://medium.com/qonto-way/a-recruiters-dilemma-confronting-bias-in-hiring-b78acce148eb because the best teams are built on merit.

[AI AT QONTO] AI is deeply embedded in how we work (here https://medium.com/qonto-way/ai-at-qonto-vision-statement-725a7e2f659b) - Every Qontoer gets unlimited access to the best AI tools. We want people who experiment without waiting for permission, push AI beyond the obvious, know when to trust it, and when to question it.

Location: You can choose to work in Qonto as long as you're living in (or willing to relocate to) either Germany, France, Italy, Serbia, or Spain.

Join us as Senior Web Engineer to craft the web apps that 750,000+ European SMEs rely on every day, from the customer-facing features that make finance simpler to the design system powering every pixel of our product.

You will join one of our mission-based teams of 5 to 10 engineers, led by a dedicated Engineering Manager. You will work alongside backend, web, iOS, and Android engineers, as well as Product Managers and Designers, in either a Product team (building features used directly by customers) or a Platform team (developing the scalable foundations that help Product teams move faster). Your team owns a clear mission end-to-end, following our "you build it, you own it" approach, and you will stay connected to the wider Web community through our Web Guild. We hold ourselves to high standards https://medium.com/qonto-way/two-powerful-tools-to-lead-your-team-to-success-49cdeeee6f66 without adding much red tape, and we ship around 150 times to production per day, with strong observability and quick rollbacks.

➡️ What you'll do

• Craft new features for our customers within a squad team, owning quality from design to production
• Grow in technical leadership: lead design discussions, share knowledge with fellow web engineers, and help improve the tools and practices that support web development across Qonto
• Be a key player in teamwork with Product, Design, and other Tech stacks
• Work AI-first: use AI as a default part of how you explore the codebase, draft technical designs, prototype solutions, and accelerate delivery, while keeping strong human judgment and quality standards

➡️ What we're looking for

• Frontend engineering: You build production web applications with React.js, HTML and CSS. We don't use CSS libraries such as Tailwind, so you know how to write pure CSS
• Attention to detail: You strive for excellence in every aspect of your job. You don't gloss over minor issues and you understand that great work is the accumulation of many small things done right
• Communication: You explain your thoughts in a clear, organized, concise and accurate manner
• AI fluency and good judgment: You leverage AI to move faster (research, writing, coding, testing) while staying critical, validating outputs, and protecting the product's reliability and user trust

➡️ What we can offer you

• Our methodology, the Qonto Way https://medium.com/qonto-way/tagged/the-qonto-way: Our org assigns one team lead per project across stacks, giving your team a clear mission and full autonomy on how it operates
• Ember to React, done: We switched app.qonto.com http://app.qonto.com to React on 8 September 2026, after migrating 1.5 million lines of code in 15 months while continuing to ship features. The final switch had no rollbacks or incidents, and page-speed scores improved. • Our own design system: You will contribute to and use our own design system and UI library, which we built from scratch
• AI tooling: You will have access to best-in-class AI tools (e.g., Claude / Claude Code and internal workflows) and the autonomy to experiment, share learnings, and help scale what works across the guild
• Developer experience: You will bring your energy and skills to improve the team's tools and processes at many levels, contributing to a better developer experience for all your peers
