Introduction
The Schwarzkopf Foundation acts as the international umbrella organisation for the European Youth Parliament (EYP) programme. The EYP is a pan-European peer-to-peer educational youth-led network that empowers young people from across Europe to be open-minded, tolerant and active citizens. It provides young people with a holistic ecosystem for non-formal learning and personal development. As a network of independent associations, the EYP is present in more than 35 European countries and organises more than 400 events every year, involving a total of around 25,000 participants. Thousands of young people are actively involved as volunteers all over Europe, making the EYP a genuinely youth-driven programme – run by young people, for young people.
To support our team that runs the International Office (IO) of the European Youth Parliamant (EYP) we are looking for two project managers (80-100%) with a starting date between December 2026 and January 2027 for 12-18 months (with a possible extension afterwards).
Schwarzkopf Foundation Young Europe was founded in 1971 by Pauline Schwarzkopf. The Schwarzkopf Foundation, a non-partisan organisation, strives to empower young people from all backgrounds to be active European citizens who contribute to a pluralistic, democratic society of mutual understanding, solidarity and peaceful collaboration across Europe. With our work to empower young people, we seek to promote a pan-European understanding and combat right-wing extremism, anti-Semitism and racism.
Young people contribute to European cohesion and play a crucial role in shaping pluralistic societies. That is why we create spaces for young people to develop political awareness and visions for the society they want to live in. We offer young people opportunities to meet, exchange knowledge, grow and actively participate.
With a wide range of programmes and projects, we advocate for an open, solidarity-based and democratic Europe, and we aim to strengthen young and pluralistic voices – in Europe and beyond.
The IO of the EYP is the resource centre for volunteers, and involves tasks around the daily support of member organisations and volunteers of the EYP network. We work as a team that supports each other and share tasks based on strengths and preferences.
If you're excited about this role and think you could make a difference, we'd love to hear from you, even if your experience doesn't match every point listed.
Please note that the nature of the work with young volunteers includes occasional work on the weekends and evenings as well as travel for work.
We look forward to receiving applications from people of all nationalities, religions, genders, sexual identities, different ages and people with disabilities.
