About the role

As a Senior Key Account Manager B2B – IT & Cloud Solutions (m/f/d/x) for the Eastern region, you will play a key role in strategically developing our B2B customer base at our Leipzig or Berlin location. Focusing on innovative IT, telecommunications, cloud and digitalization solutions, you will actively drive consultative selling. Your core responsibilities include:

• End-to-end account management and growth: Manage and strengthen relationships with existing large customers through strategic account planning, while continually identifying new business development opportunities.
• C-level negotiations: Serve as a trusted point of contact and lead contract negotiations with board members and executive management through to successful close.
• Solution selling: Analyze customer requirements and position tailored cloud and telecommunications solutions for the B2B market.
• Stakeholder management: Act as the central interface between internal subject-matter experts and external decision-makers.
• CRM management: Take ownership of your sales funnel and manage it accurately using Salesforce.

Must-have skills

In addition to extensive B2B sales experience and in-depth key account management experience in the IT and telecommunications sector, you bring the following qualifications:

• Solution-oriented sales: A proven track record in consultative selling and in selling modern cloud and digitalization solutions.
• Confidence in C-level negotiations: Strong negotiation skills and a confident presence when closing complex contracts with senior decision-makers.
• Strategic account planning and business development: In-depth expertise in proactively growing and retaining strategic customer accounts.
• CRM expertise: Proficiency with Salesforce for effective pipeline management and documentation.
• Stakeholder management and communication: Excellent relationship-building skills, along with fluent German and English.

Desirable qualifications

• A solid understanding of modern telecommunications and network infrastructure, such as SD-WAN, MPLS and 5G campus networks.
• Sales methodology certifications, such as Challenger Sale, MEDDPICC or Miller Heiman.
• An established network and existing contacts among decision-makers at upper mid-sized companies or large enterprises in the Berlin/Leipzig region.
• Experience working with partner ecosystems and alliances, such as hyperscalers like AWS or Azure, or systems integrator partners.
• Knowledge of agile ways of working and project management methods, such as Scrum or PRINCE2.
