Valves Development Engineer [High-Thrust Rocket Engine]

• Master's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related and applicable technical discipline. Alternatively, a bachelor's degree with substantial relevant experience
• Hands-on experience developing hardware from concept to working prototypes
• Strong fundamentals in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics and mechanical design
• Good understanding of industry standard and emerging manufacturing methods and their respective constraints
• Proficient in the use of 3D CAD software and drafting
• Experience writing software/scripts in languages like Python
• Ability to infer system-level implications of component design choices
• Proficient in conducting thermomechanical analysis is a strong asset
• Relevant experience(s) with cryogenic fluids
• Strong ability to work in close collaboration with others
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong analysis and problem-solving skills
• Strong research skills and ability to infer useful information from partial or even contradictory sources
• Drive towards excellence coupled with ability to work within time constraints
• Proficiency in organization and prioritization of tasks
• Fluency in English
• (Optional) Strong understanding of liquid-propellant rocket engines as a system
