Account Executive

At Covalo, we're looking for an Account Executive to own and execute the full sales cycle — from first touch to close.

You will work closely with the founders on strategic, complex deals — while owning and driving your own pipeline end-to-end.

You'll be joining at a pivotal stage. Growth and Customer Success are in place, the pipeline is being built — we are only missing the right person to drive deals to success day-to-day. This is a strong individual contributor role, with a clear path into leadership as you grow. We're looking for someone early in their career but already strong, ambitious and hungry — excited by a big challenge, and ready to take on increasing responsibility fast.

Tasks

Today, founders lead key sales conversations and close strategic, complex deals. You'll work alongside them as a partner on these deals — bringing structure and rigor to complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes — while owning and building your own pipeline from day one.

Over time, as you build a track record on strategic deals, you'll take on more ownership of the founders' pipeline too — moving toward full independent ownership of Covalo's largest, most complex deals.

What this means:

• Own the end-to-end sales cycle for qualified opportunities
• Join founders on sales calls and demos for strategic deals, contributing your own perspective and expertise
• Manage complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals — navigating competing priorities and longer sales cycles
• Prepare and send proposals, emails, and contracts
• Keep CRM (HubSpot) accurate and up to date
• Convert pre-qualified leads generated by the Growth team
• Adapt messaging to different supplier profiles, ICPs and stakeholder types
• Track pipeline performance and surface insights to iterate and improve conversion

Requirements

Expectations are high — you'll be trusted with ownership from day one, and expected to deliver. This role is as much about mindset as it is about experience. We're looking for someone who is hungry, ambitious, resilient, and excited by a big challenge — operating with sound judgment and ownership, independently of your seniority.

Mindset & way of working

• Deeply curious and a great listener — you want to understand how customers think, what their challenges are and how we can help them
• Strong individual contributor — you take ownership and drive outcomes independently, and you're excited by the path to leadership that comes from proving yourself here
• Reliable and consistent — customers and teammates can count on you
• Competitive, ambitious and hungry — you want to win, improve, and take on a big challenge
• Strong resilience — comfortable with rejection, repetition, and staying consistent
• Open to feedback and actively looking to improve
• A team player who collaborates and shares context

MUST-HAVES

Experience & capabilities

• Experience in B2B sales - SaaS, enterprise, marketplace, or similar - ideally with exposure to longer, multi-stakeholder deal cycles
• Comfortable owning the full sales cycle
• Ability to manage multi-stakeholder, complex, enterprise deals — comfortable navigating multiple decision-makers and longer, more considered buying processes
• Strong customer-facing skills and ability to build trust quickly
• Organized and persistent — you don't let deals slip
• Experience handling the operational side of sales (CRM, proposals, follow-ups), tool-savvy, and comfortable using modern sales tools and AI at the core of your work

Practicalities

• Based in Central Europe (fully remote)
• Fluent in English, and French and/or German (both is a strong plus)
• Willingness to travel, comfortable attending events and trade fairs on a regular basis

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience in a startup or scaleup environment
• Industry experience in Personal Care, ingredients, or formulation

Benefits

• Competitive salary & potential opportunity to participate in company stock option plan
• Working remotely, with occasional team gatherings and in-person alignment meetings (including incredible team retreats with the entire team!)
• Ability to influence an innovative product that will impact the entire consumer goods industry (with thousands of beauty brands and suppliers already using Covalo)
• Space and support to learn, develop and grow to the size of your ambition
• Being part of a growing, fun, dynamic, highly motivated and international team - where we all have our (charming) quirks, and everyone can bring their full selves to work every day
