Head of Pricing (m/f/x)

Requirements

• 8-12 years commercial experience with at least 5-6 years specifically owning pricing strategy at scale, including designing the framework
• Deep understanding of dynamic pricing - algorithmic repricing, yield management, price elasticity estimation and application
• Hands-on analytical capability - builds margin models and elasticity analyses directly, does not depend on others to do the quantitative work
• Genuine familiarity with data science methods applied to pricing - understands how models, pricing approaches and demand forecasting work well enough to set objectives, interrogate methodology and challenge outputs
• Has worked closely with data science or advanced analytics teams, and is able to translate commercial pricing problems into modelling briefs and convert model outputs into operational decisions without losing either the commercial logic or the statistical integrity
• Comfortable with pricing technology - repricing tools, competitor monitoring platforms, pricing data pipelines
• Proficient English; German is a plus

Preferred:

• Direct recommerce, refurbished goods or consumer electronics/ media experience
• Experience connecting buy-side and sell-side pricing as an integrated system
• Has built pricing capability from an underdeveloped baseline rather than optimised a mature function
• Understanding of working capital management and how pricing decisions affect cash conversion cycle
