Advise. Invest. Build. Meet ALAIKA - a new kind of Financial Services firm - globally scaling, headquartered in Munich. The work is hard. The bar is high. We need hunters, not administrators. Join early, own ALAIKA’s sourcing engine, and lead the team you help build.
Stop reading if any of these describe you:
Hunting. You post a job and wait for applicants → We go find the people who aren’t looking.
Drive. You need someone to fire the starting gun → We only hire people who can prove they are intrinsically driven and execute.
Ownership. You spot the problem and walk it to your boss → We fall in love with problems. Own them. Solve them. Ship solutions.
Mindset. “Not possible” is part of your vocabulary → We hire people who always find a way.
Still there? Then ALAIKA might be for you.
At ALAIKA, our vision is to build the future of Financial Services with three brands under one roof - Advisory (Strategy Consulting), Capital (Private Equity), and Building (Company Builder). Right now, we are in the midst of building our Trojan horse, ALAIKA Advisory.
The ambition: building the leading Financial-Services-specific entrepreneurial holding - Fortune 500 access, PE discipline, Silicon Valley technology depth and thinking. Three networks that compound and multiply.
One industry. Financial Services. Nothing else.
One focus. The intersection of business and technology; across Strategic Transformations, AI & Data Intelligence, and Cybersecurity.
One goal. Being the go-to partner for the world’s leading Fortune 500 financial services companies - and the ones we might help build into that.
Founded in October 2022 by Johanna von Geyr (built up and led the Financial Services Practice of a NASDAQ-listed strategy consultancy) and Harald Braunstein (serial entrepreneur with exits, incl. an IPO), we bring together deep functional domain expertise and networks in global Financial Services, with a proven track record in building, scaling, and investing in leading software product companies.

The role and what you will work on
Active Sourcing Engine. Your main job. Map talent at target firms, build Boolean and X-ray searches, and run outreach across LinkedIn, phone, referrals, and events. Find the experienced Financial Services consultants and tech experts who aren’t looking and get them talking.
AI-powered hunting. Hunt with JARVIS, our in-house AI sourcing platform. Train its searches, sharpen its scoring, and make ALAIKA faster than any agency.
Own the hire. From first message to signed contract: run screens and structured interviews, handle objections, and close the deal. You are measured on hires, not on process.
Hiring Manager Partnership. Work shoulder-to-shoulder with our partners. Bring market intelligence: who is out there, what they earn, and what it takes to win them.
Pipeline & Data. Own your scoreboard (reply rates, stage conversion, time-to-hire) and use it to decide where to hunt next.
ALAIKA Ambassador. You are one of the first faces candidates see. Represent our values, energy, and ambition. Make it count.
When you are a fit
“Show me an athlete who did well academically. An athlete because they know what it takes to win and they have had to experience loss.”
Kenneth C. Griffin, Founder of Citadel
You will work alongside intrinsically driven people chasing an uncapped career - people who do “what it takes.” You fear “being one more number stuck in middle management.”
Book-smart. Strong academic foundation. Think in structures, not gut feel.
Street-smart. Read the room fast. Prioritize ruthlessly. Grasp commercial reality.
People-smart. Communicate with precision: clear, direct, persuasive. Build trust across functions and seniority.
Athlete performance mindset. High aspirations. Grit. Learn faster than the environment changes. You train, you compete, you hate losing.
Entrepreneurial guts. Self-confident achiever. Act first, apologize later. Speed is everything. Take full ownership of work normally reserved for far more senior profiles.
What you bring
Proven hunting record. 2+ years of active sourcing or headhunting / executive search research, a recruiting agency, consulting, or tech recruiting. Bring numbers: reply rates, pipelines built, hires closed.
Sourcing craft. Mastery of LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean and X-ray search, and talent mapping. You pick up the phone without hesitation.
Competitive record. Competitive sports, a sales leaderboard, or any arena where you trained, lost, and came back stronger.
Recruiting is selling. Prove you could sell sand in the desert.
Background. Any degree. We care about the hires you have made, not your background. Show us you were always best in class.
Language proficiency. Fluent in English. German and any additional languages are a plus.
