About this job

Great shopping experiences start with great quality. Join our Mobile Application Development team as a Working Student in QA and help us deliver reliable, user-friendly Android and iOS apps. From testing new features to identifying bugs and supporting test automation, you'll play an active role in making idealo's mobile experience better every day.

About your new role

You will become part of our working student QA team, collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and software developers to ensure the quality of idealo’s Android and iOS apps.
You will test new features and bug fixes, verify that requirements are correctly implemented, and help identify issues before they reach our users.
Through functional, integration, and regression testing, you will contribute to delivering reliable and high-quality mobile applications.
You will also support our growing test automation initiative, helping us automate repetitive testing tasks and continuously improve our QA processes.
You will work independently, investigate issues, and proactively collaborate with your colleagues to find solutions and maintain our quality standards.

Skills & Requirements

You are studying computer science, business informatics, software engineering, or a related field and will remain enrolled for at least another 1.5 years.

You have already gained practical experience in a professional software development, QA, or IT-related environment, for example through a previous working student position or internship.

You have a basic understanding of how modern web and mobile applications work, including the interaction between frontend, backend, and APIs.

You enjoy investigating technical issues, can systematically reproduce problems, and communicate your findings clearly.

You have an analytical mindset, an eye for detail, and a structured approach to problem-solving.

At idealo you can expect

You want to further your education? We take your personal development goals seriously and, in addition to our idealo Learning Hub, eLearning offerings (e.g., Udemy), coaching & mediation, we also offer you the opportunity to benefit individually from additional learning and development budget.
And what about the office? Our office in the heart of Berlin offers free organic breakfast, excellent free lunch (vegan and vegetarian), as well as free coffee, lemonades and after-work beer, in addition to the "standard foosball". It also has a fabulous rooftop terrace with view of the whole of berlin where you can network with colleagues from our group of companies.
You want full flexibility on your way to work and beyond? No problem with a Deutschlandticket - and it's environmentally friendly, too!
Want to keep yourself fit? We offer many different fitness and sports options, such as an Urban Sports or Gympass membership, to suit your personal needs.
And what else is there? Of course, success must be celebrated! In addition to team events, you can also expect big company events and other moments of organized connection with others in the company and your team throughout the year!
