Associate Asset Manager Selection, Analytics & Engagement (m/f/d)

Key responsibilities

• Select and oversee asset managers across all asset classes for Allianz Group's proprietary and unit-linked portfolios.
• Drive asset manager engagement by building strong relationships, challenging investment approaches and performance, and ensuring delivery of agreed objectives and commitments.
• Support the development and implementation of investment strategies in close collaboration with Allianz expert teams.
• Contribute to the integration of sustainability considerations into asset manager selection, monitoring, and review processes.
• Conduct fee negotiations and manage Family Pricing Agreements.
• Develop and maintain analytical tools and frameworks for assessing asset managers, investment strategies, and funds.
• Serve as an interface between asset managers and Allianz insurance entities, investment functions, and Group Centers in implementing and managing investment strategies.

Key Requirements/Skills/Experience

• Master's degree with excellent academic credentials in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; CFA or a comparable professional qualification is beneficial.
• 3+ years of experience at an institutional investor, asset manager, investment consultancy, or in a comparable investment environment.
• Exposure to portfolio management, asset manager oversight, and/or unit-linked investment products is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex investment data
• Drive to explore and apply AI tools to investment-related challenges.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proactive working style and willingness to take ownership.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken; German language skills are a plus.
