About Vanilla Steel

Vanilla Steel is a Berlin based B2B platform digitising steel trading across Europe. We are a team of around 25 people, working in English, with direct access to the founders and a lot of room to shape how a large, traditional industry goes digital.

Your tasks

Your responsibilities

You will own a portfolio of buyers and suppliers in your language market and grow it. You source, negotiate and close deals yourself, and you stay with each deal through to delivery. Nobody sets your daily priorities: you decide where your week goes.

What you will do

• Manage and grow a portfolio of buyers and suppliers in your market
• Be the main contact for clients in their native language
• Source, negotiate and close profitable deals, and coordinate execution with Operations and Logistics
• Win new accounts through targeted phone and email outreach
• Run your pipeline in HubSpot and use pricing and market data to sharpen negotiations
• Share market and price insights from your region with the team
• Use AI tools daily for research, outreach, pricing analysis and admin, so more of your time goes into clients and deals
• Spot what slows you down and fix it, whether by building a small automation yourself or by pushing for a better tool

What we are looking for

• Native or near native level in at least one European language, used with clients every day
• Fluent English (our company language)
• 2+ years of professional experience, including at least 1 year in a commercial role with a target
