Founding Head of Brand

Who you are

We're looking for a brand builder who happens to be a communicator, or a communicator who builds brands. You have taken a company from unknown to unmissable before, and you can point at it.

Typically, your profile will look like this:

• 3 or more years in brand, communications or creative marketing, preferably with real time at an early-stage company
• You have been part of a zero-to-one brand journey, and you were there early enough to have shaped it rather than inherited it
• You have shaped a coherent overarching story, not just run communications at scale
• You have made things that travelled: campaigns, stunts, formats, moments people talked about
• You bring a network and you use it. Partnerships you can open yourself are a large part of the value here
• You thrive in a fast-paced and performance-oriented environment
• A big plus: relationships across media and entertainment, and you're internet-native. You know what's trending, what's breaking, and you're into media, culture or social

This is a building role, not a caretaking one: if your best work was producing content at scale or protecting an established brand, this is not the right fit.

You will work directly with our founder, with the freedom to make bold calls and the budget to execute them. You're not a cog in the machine but the captain of your own ship, rewarded for performance and respected for leadership. Flat hierarchies mean that your voice matters, your ideas get implemented, and your impact is immediate.

We pay competitive salaries and make you an owner of the business with equity. We work remotely to give you complete freedom over your life, while meeting regularly around the world for global offsites where we strategize, bond, and push boundaries together.

What the process will look like

We hire on a rolling basis. Earliest starting date is always ASAP.

Once you begin our process, you can progress from start to offer within a week, depending on how quickly you can move through each stage:

• Initial interview: 30-minute introductory call - getting to know you
• Case interview: 90-minute case discussion - present and debate your skills
• Founder interview: 90-minute interview with our CEO - going deep on all topics
• Offer, contract signing and onboarding

Note: As we are still in stealth, you will learn more about Melotech as you progress through the stages. By the end of the Founder interview, you will have a full grasp of our business and the details of your role.
