Your role
As Epic Owner (m/f/d/x) – Content Discovery, Personalization & Engagement, you are responsible for the functional evolution of the core capabilities around Content Discovery, Personalization, and Customer Engagement for MagentaTV across all supported platforms and markets.
Your focus is on capabilities that help our customers easily discover relevant content and enjoy a highly personalized experience — from search and recommendations to personalized content placement, watchlists, favorites, notifications, and re-engagement.
You ensure that these capabilities evolve consistently across devices and markets while balancing customer needs, business priorities, and the requirements of our national companies. In this role, you are the central functional interface between Product Management, Client Product Owners, UX/UI, Architecture, and Engineering. You translate strategic objectives and market requirements into clear capability roadmaps, epics, and implementation-ready functional requirements.
You own the functional and business evolution of your capability. Operational delivery, sprint planning, and detailed UX implementation are outside the scope of your responsibility.
Your responsibilities
You own the recommendation strategy and personalization across both first-party and third-party content.
You define requirements for search and Content Discovery and ensure that both editorially curated and recommendation-driven content placements are supported.
You harmonize the core Search and Discovery capabilities across national companies. Specific local content structures, editorial curation, and campaign execution remain the responsibility of the respective markets.
You define the functional principles according to which first-party and partner content is surfaced and prioritized on the platform.
You own requirements for AI-powered search, Content Discovery, and Personalization.
You define requirements for content-tagging standards and metadata quality needed to enable high-performing recommendations and personalization.
You own requirements for notifications, social features, community features, and re-engagement capabilities.
You define and continuously evolve requirements for features such as watchlists, favorites, sharing, and re-engagement.
You harmonize the requirements of national companies across Recommendation, Personalization, and Content Discovery and turn them into shared, scalable solutions.
You initiate and support Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and Requests for Proposal (RFPs) to evaluate suitable vendors and technologies for Recommendation, Personalization, and Content Discovery.
You continuously monitor customer feedback and relevant KPIs within your domain and use these insights to identify opportunities for improvement.
You design and steer A/B tests and experiments within your domain based on the shared experimentation framework.
