Your role

As Product Owner (m/f/d/x) – Android Ecosystem Applications, you are responsible for the product strategy and evolution of our Android-based applications across TV and mobile. This includes Android TV, Google TV, Fire TV, and Android Mobile in particular.

You own the roadmap and Product Backlog for shared Android client capabilities and ensure that business logic, reusable components, and shared client frameworks are leveraged as efficiently as possible across the different Android platforms.

Together with Engineering, Architecture, Product Experience, QA, and relevant business stakeholders, you ensure a high level of technical consistency, reduce platform fragmentation, and accelerate the delivery of new features through shared development standards and reusable components.

Your responsibilities

• You define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Android TV and mobile applications.
• You own and prioritize the Product Backlog for shared Android client capabilities and frameworks.
• You drive the adoption of shared business logic, reusable components, and common client frameworks across Android TV, Google TV, Fire TV, and Android Mobile.
• You work closely with Engineering and Architecture to define scalable client architectures, development standards, and integration patterns.
• You ensure the right balance between rapid feature delivery and long-term technical quality, maintainability, performance, and platform evolution.
• You work closely with Product Experience to enable consistent feature implementation across the different Android clients.
• You define relevant product and quality KPIs and continuously monitor application quality, performance, the degree of component reuse, and engineering efficiency.
• You collaborate closely with other client teams to ensure consistent technical and functional evolution across the entire TV ecosystem.
• You translate functional and technical requirements into clearly prioritized backlog items and support Engineering teams throughout refinement and implementation.

What you bring

In addition to a university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, or a comparable technical discipline, you have at least five years of professional experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or in a comparable role with responsibility for Android applications or software platforms.

Your additional skills include:

• A solid understanding of modern Android application architectures and current software development practices.
• Experience working with cross-functional Engineering teams in agile development environments.
• The ability to structure and prioritize technical and business requirements and translate them into actionable product requirements.
• A good understanding of APIs, software architecture, and integration principles.
• Strong analytical skills and a structured, solution-oriented way of working.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong technical Product Ownership skills and knowledge of Android application architecture.
• Experience developing strategies for shared business logic and client frameworks.
• Knowledge of API integration and software architecture fundamentals.
• Experience in agile product management and stakeholder management.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, combined with the ability to communicate effectively on technical topics and C1-level English proficiency.

Nice to have

• Experience with Android TV, Google TV, Fire TV, or Android Mobile.
• Experience with shared codebases, modular architectures, and reusable client frameworks.
• Experience with OTT, IPTV, or streaming applications.
• Experience in telecommunications or digital entertainment services.
