Senior Accounting & Group Reporting Manager (m/f/d)

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for a highly skilled, hands-on, and self-driven professional to take ownership of our accounting processes under German GAAP (HGB) and coordinate accounting activities across our growing international group. You combine strong technical accounting expertise with a pragmatic, entrepreneurial mindset – knowing when absolute precision is essential and when commercially sound, well-documented solutions are the right approach in a fast-growing scale-up.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Maths or a related field (professional accounting certifications are a plus)
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in an international scale-up, trading business, or fast-growing SME
• Strong experience with statutory accounting, month-end / year-end closing, group reporting, consolidation processes, and multi-entity accounting
• In-depth knowledge of German GAAP (HGB) with sound experience in intercompany accounting and accounting across international jurisdictions; exposure to IFRS is a strong advantage
• Strong proficiency in accounting software (e.g., DATEV), Excel, and finance automation initiatives
• Experience with inventory accounting and working capital management, ideally in a trading or inventory-driven environment
• Proven experience coordinating with external auditors, tax advisors, and international accounting partners with the ability to improve and scale accounting processes across multiple entities
• Independent, structured, and solution-oriented with a proactive mindset and excellent communication skills, comfortable operating in a dynamic, evolving scale-up environment
• Fluent in English, proficiency in German is a plus; ideally located in or near Cologne, Germany, with a valid work permit (hybrid setup)
