Tasks
Your role
As Creative Strategist you own the single biggest lever in our paid social performance: the creative. Meta is your home channel. You decide what we test, you make sure enough of it exists, and you read the results well enough to know why the winner won.
We are B2B, but we intend to build like a consumer brand. German SMB owners scroll the same feed as everyone else, and they do not stop for a product screenshot with a feature list. Your job is to make them stop – and then to make them start a trial.
What you will do
Own the creative engine for paid social – primarily Meta, with TikTok and YouTube as we expand.
Turn insight into angles: mine customer reviews, support tickets, sales calls, churn reasons, competitor ads and customer conversations for what German SMBs actually say about their phone system, their calls and their missed business.
Build and run a creative testing roadmap: a steady, predictable volume of new concepts every week, structured by angle, format and hook so results are readable rather than anecdotal.
Write scripts, hooks and storyboards for short-form video – UGC, founder- and employee-led, testimonial, problem/solution, product demo, static and everything in between.
Brief and direct creators, editors, actors and freelancers, run shoots, and manage the production pipeline end to end so throughput never becomes the bottleneck.
Analyse creative performance at the right level with the Performance Marketing Manager – hook rate, hold rate, CTR, CPA and trial rate per angle – and decide what to iterate, scale or kill.
Maintain a living library of winners, losers and learnings so we compound instead of restarting every quarter.
Systematically tear down what works elsewhere – in DTC, in consumer, at other AI and SaaS brands – and transfer the pattern to us.
Keep everything on brand and legally clean while still being genuinely entertaining.
Requirements
Who we are looking for
A track record of paid social creative that actually performed at scale, above all on Meta. Bring examples – and the numbers behind them.
You think in hooks and in the first three seconds. You can explain why an ad works, not just that it does.
You write and judge German copy at native level; solid English on top.
Production-capable, not only conceptual: when speed matters you can shoot and cut a usable ad yourself.
Comfortable with volume – dozens of variations a month, not three perfect films a quarter.
Data-literate: you can navigate Ads Manager reporting and draw your own conclusions without waiting for a dashboard.
Strong opinions about creative, loosely held – you let the results decide and you kill your darlings quickly.
Agency or in-house experience at a DTC, consumer or high-velocity SaaS brand is a strong plus.
Optional - nice to have
Experience building and managing a creator or UGC network.
Experience with AI-supported creative production (generative video, voice, image, automated variation).
Experience with landing page and post-click creative, not just the ad itself.
Benefits
What we offer
Real creative ownership: you set the testing agenda, not an agency.
A budget that makes creative testing meaningful and a performance team that will actually read your results.
The freedom to build a B2B brand that behaves like a consumer brand – with an AI-native product that gives you something genuinely new to talk about.
A young, ambitious team of marketing, product and tech experts with a real growth mentality.
Hybrid working model with flexible hours and a genuine remote culture – we care about output, not attendance.
Extensive learning and development opportunities across growth, SaaS and AI.
Central office location in Cologne’s Südstadt, modern workspaces and high-quality equipment. Water, coffee and fresh fruit included.
Open, collegial company culture with regular team events.
