Project description
As the Platform Integration Planning & Data Enablement Lead, you will own and drive the integrated planning framework across the Platform Systems Integration function, providing strategic direction and operating with a high degree of autonomy across Platform Leads and Technical Specialists. Rather than a traditional PM/PMO role, this position requires strong technical credibility to align stakeholders, drive planning activities and influence delivery outcomes.
You will act as the central point for planning data and insight — maintaining and improving the Tableau outputs used by the Platform Leads to present across the wider company, and streamlining the data required to support and improve planning. You will own the overall planning and delivery view across the group (Platform Leads), ensure KPIs are being met, and work with the client team on process development and improvement — including adapting how data is gathered and presented as wider company processes change.
This requires a blend of programme planning ownership and hands-on Tableau capability, with the confidence to introduce better ways of working (the current outputs were built by engineers, not data specialists). Additionally, you will support data governance (quality, traceability, consistency), support operational governance forums through data-driven insights, and drive continuous improvement and reporting automation across planning and operational processes.
Programme Planning Ownership: Own the overall planning and delivery view across the group (Platform Leads), ensure KPIs are met, and manage dependencies and resource transparency across integration, testing, release and readiness activities.
Tableau Reporting & Dashboards: Maintain and improve the existing (complex) Tableau outputs used by the leads for company-wide presentation; enhance and automate reporting to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.
Data Analytics & Insight: Analyse planning, delivery and resource data to identify trends, risks and opportunities; develop forecasting, capacity and scenario-planning views.
Data Streamlining & Governance: Streamline the data required for planning and define data governance standards (quality, traceability, consistency); adapt how data is gathered and presented as wider company processes change.
Executive Reporting: Create executive-level visualisations and decision-support materials, including governance packs, metrics and KPI reporting.
Stakeholder Alignment: Operate across Platform Leads and Technical Specialists with the credibility to align stakeholders and influence delivery outcomes.
Operational Coordination & Governance: Support operational governance forums (Operations Sync) through data-driven insights and reporting.
Cross-Functional Data Integration: Enable cross-functional data integration and information sharing across Platform Integration activities.
Process Development & Continuous Improvement: Work with the client team on process development/improvement; identify opportunities for standardisation and maintain an improvement roadmap.
Skills
Planning Ownership: Proven ability to own integrated planning and delivery across complex engineering or integration environments, ensuring KPIs are met — operating as a role owner with autonomy, not a PMO support resource.
Advanced Tableau (must-have): Hands-on development, maintenance and improvement of complex Tableau dashboards used for senior, company-wide reporting.
Data Management & Analytics: Strong data management capability — centralising and streamlining datasets, ensuring data quality and governance, and turning raw data into insight to drive planning.
Executive-Level Outputs: Ability to produce presentable, decision-ready outputs for senior leadership audiences.
Stakeholder Communication & Credibility: High-quality communication and the technical credibility to align Platform Leads and Technical Specialists and influence outcomes.
Process Improvement through Data: Experience driving process improvement and automation through data-led insights.
Planning Tools: Proficiency in planning tools such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence or Primavera.
Openness to Better Ways of Working: Confidence to introduce improved data practices — current outputs were built by engineers rather than data specialists, so fresh approaches are welcomed.
Google BigQuery: Experience with BigQuery (or equivalent cloud data warehouse — e.g. Databricks, Azure) for data storage, querying and integration.
Python: Programming for automation, reporting and data analysis.
GitHub / Version Control: GitHub and version-controlled development experience — version control for reporting/data scripts and documentation.
Integration Knowledge: Understanding of integration, release governance and the engineering delivery lifecycle, including HW/SW release data and compatibility.
Process & Documentation Governance: Familiarity with process authoring and governance discipline (ISO 9001 / QMS alignment).
