Working Student - Social Media and Marketing (gn)

Campaign execution

• Support the roll-out of organic and paid social media campaigns across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
• Set up and coordinate campaign content, audience targeting, timings and assets in line with agreed campaign plans.
• Work with internal teams and external partners to ensure campaigns are delivered smoothly and on schedule.
• Monitor campaign performance and prepare clear, concise updates on reach, engagement, traffic and other relevant KPIs.
• Identify practical optimisation opportunities based on channel and campaign performance.

Content creation

• Draft clear, engaging social copy in German and, where required, English.
• Develop simple visual and video content using approved templates and tools.
• Adapt European or global content for DACH audiences, channels and market needs.
• Research relevant topics, formats and platform trends to contribute fresh content ideas.
• Maintain an organised overview of content, assets and campaign materials.

Marketing support

• Support event communications, promotional campaigns and selected brand and marketing initiatives.
• Help prepare and coordinate digital and print marketing materials.
• Support website or landing-page content updates where needed.
• Assist with research, reporting, presentations and general coordination across the Marketing, Brand and Communications team.
• Contribute ideas to strengthen audience engagement and the visibility of Hiscox in the DACH market.

Your profile

• Currently enrolled at a university, ideally in Marketing, Communications, Media, Business or a related field.
• Strong interest in social media, digital communications, content and brand building.
• Excellent written German and good written and spoken English.
• A good feel for language, visual storytelling and audience-appropriate communication.
• Confident using social media platforms, initial experience with publishing, analytics or campaign tools is an advantage.
• Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Adobe Express or comparable content-creation software is beneficial.
• Organised and reliable, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage several deadlines.
• Proactive, curious and comfortable working both independently and as part of an integrated team.
• Sound judgement when engaging publicly on behalf of a brand.
• Fluency in German is essential.
