Product Engineer // withyou

We are building withyou as a close, highly collaborative team. Working together in person helps us make decisions faster, solve difficult problems directly, and continuously improve how we operate. This is therefore primarily an office-based role, with home-office days coordinated flexibly within the team. Note: whilst we are looking to fill this role immediately; the period until January/February 2027 will be remote.

Build the future of software delivery

AI is making code dramatically faster to produce. But building successful products still requires much more than generating code: business goals must be translated into product decisions, sound architecture, reliable implementation, and measurable outcomes.

Withyou is building the platform for human-centric, AI-native software delivery. We combine AI-enabled execution with experienced human judgment and clear responsibility, helping companies move from an idea to a working software product faster and with less complexity.

We are not simply adding new tools to an established development process. We are rethinking the software development lifecycle from the ground up, and applying that approach to real products today.

We offer clients a development service, powered by internal tooling.

About the position

We are looking for a Product Engineer (m/f/d) who thinks in systems, works confidently through ambiguity, and builds solutions that improve processes, solve client problems, and move our platform forward.

From day one, you will take meaningful responsibility in a fast-moving environment. You will work with our internal tools and delivery processes, help develop them further, and move projects forward independently, even when the path is not yet fully defined.

Your work will span client products, our internal platform, and the broader challenge of defining what an AI-native software development lifecycle will look like.

From the beginning, you will:

• take ownership of client projects and design, develop, and improve modern web applications from frontend to backend
• pragmatically integrate AI tools and LLM-based features into client solutions and internal workflows
• design systems, APIs, services, and data models, not just individual features
• improve and further develop existing products, internal tools, and our Platform
• make clear and well-reasoned technical decisions, choosing technologies based on the problem
• work directly with clients, founders, and business stakeholders while actively helping shape our development process

What matters to us

• At least 5 years of practical software development experience with strong project references, ideally in fullstack web development
• You bring energy, curiosity, and ambition, and you want to help shape how modern software development with AI will work in the future
• You have already built modern web applications and worked on both frontend and backend
• Solid understanding of APIs, databases, software architecture, and system design
• You get up to speed quickly in new stacks, tools, and domains
• You can translate unclear requirements into pragmatic technical solutions
• Genuine interest in AI as a tool, not just as a buzzword
• Working independently is a requirement for you, not a bonus

A strong plus:

• Experience with cloud architecture
• Experience with automation, e.g. CI/CD, testing, deployment
• Strong experience with Python and React.js

We are a small team that works fast, takes responsibility, and takes the work seriously without losing the fun in it. You will have real influence on how we work, what we build, and who we become as a company. We work together to find the best solutions, and your perspective matters.

We are currently preparing for our next phase of growth and are looking for people who want to help build the technical and organizational foundations with us.

This role is a good fit if you want to take responsibility and help shape something that is still being built. If you are mainly looking for clear corporate structures and fully defined processes, this is probably not the right environment.

What we offer

• Real responsibility and room to shape things from day one
• Direct collaboration with founders, developers, clients, and decision-makers
• The opportunity to actively shape and further develop our product for the next generation of modern software development
• A small, international team with short communication lines and fast decisions
• Varied work across client projects, platform development, and AI-adjacent workflows
• Clear goals, a high degree of ownership, and no micromanagement
• Hybrid work in Berlin
• The chance to actively help shape our next phase of growth
• Learning and development during working hours
