Product Designer

AI changes that. For the first time, companies can have natural conversations with customers at massive scale. Every B2C company - from energy providers to telcos to insurers - will use AI agents to talk to their customers. The number of conversations businesses will handle is going to explode in the coming years.

At telli, we are solving the challenges that come with that shift. Today, leading B2C companies like Sky are already using telli to deploy thousands of voice agents to provide their customers with a new experience. But building a first voice agent is easy, getting it to drive real outcomes for customers and businesses is the hard part. telli helps companies build, deploy, and improve consumer-facing AI voice agents at scale. This will become one of the most important software categories of the next decade, and we intend to win it.

We are a small, AI-pilled team that likes to solve hard problems. Be it engineering, product, or GTM - we build, experiment, and move fast, while heavily leveraging the capabilities of AI models. All of us like to challenge ourselves and take real ownership over what we do, all while still staying humble and keeping a low-ego culture.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a role for people with great taste in designing software & AI systems. You will own design across the company and find novel UX patterns to solve problems that haven’t existed in software products before. We are pushing the limits of LLMs and looking for someone to build the future with us.

Things that you might work on:

• designing UX patterns that work both for web applications and within chat (ChatGPT, Claude, Codex, etc.)
• agentic loops that let customers analyze and improve their voice agents
• define and implement design language of our product & brand

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

we believe that the role of a product designer and engineer are merging. We are looking for someone who wants to shape that shift with us. If you are designer who has never written production code, that is ok - as long as you are willing to experiment and learn.

• Aesthetic taste - can you craft visually appealing products
• Functional - you can craft products that solve real problems
• Unassuming - you don’t work on assumptions but build a mental model from real customer insights & conversations
• High Ownership - Nobody has to tell you what to do, you just do things
• First Principles Thinking - You don’t take what people say at face value. You make sure you understand the underlying problem
• AI-pilled - You are heavily leveraging AI in your work
• Strive in ambiguity - You are able to jump into novel ambiguous problem, understand the reason and solve it
• Builder - You love to create things. Bonus if you also create things in code

The most important signal for us is your portfolio and the things you have built. We don’t care too much about years of experience or what companies you worked at. More the things you created.

WHAT MAY NOT MAKE YOU A GOOD FIT

• you prefer a remote-first environment
• you want to be told exactly what to do
• you mostly care about the tech, not business outcomes
• you want to work 9-5

PERKS

• very competitive pay + equity package
• access to any (AI) tools
• free dinners if you stay late
• urban sports
• relocation support if you don’t live in Berlin
