Growth Manager (m/f/d)

You'll connect commercial goals with everyday execution and keep projects moving.

TikTok Shop & Social Commerce

Social commerce is an important part of MAOMAO and an area we want to continue growing.

You will work on:

• TikTok Shop campaigns, promotions and Seller Center management
• livestream campaigns, formats and activations
• affiliate and creator collaborations
• product selection, offers and promotional planning
• coordination with TikTok and external partners
• identifying and testing new opportunities

Experience with TikTok Shop is a plus, but not a requirement. Curiosity, commercial thinking and the ability to learn quickly matter.

Campaigns, Content & Product Launches

You will plan and coordinate campaigns, promotions and product launches from idea to execution.

Together with our marketing and content team, you will help decide:

• which products, topics and offers we should focus on
• how we communicate them to our audience
• which content formats and channels make sense
• how campaigns connect across TikTok, Instagram, livestreams, our online shop and email
• how we turn audience interest into purchases

You will create timelines, clarify responsibilities, identify dependencies early and follow through on deliverables.

Customer Retention & CRM

You will help give existing customers reasons to come back through:

• email campaigns and customer communication
• customer segmentation and relevant offers
• repeat-purchase and reactivation initiatives
• campaigns connecting product launches, community activities and retention

You'll test different approaches and use the results to improve them.

Performance, KPIs & Budgets

You will use data to guide decisions and spending.

This includes:

• tracking relevant business and campaign KPIs
• understanding which activities drive sales and at what cost
• evaluating results with margins, discounts, fees and campaign costs in mind
• managing agreed budgets and recommending how to allocate resources
• communicating results and next steps clearly

You should be comfortable working with numbers, questioning assumptions and turning analysis into action.

Team & Project Coordination

You will work with our existing marketing and content team to turn priorities into execution.

You will:

• clarify responsibilities, deadlines and expected outcomes
• keep track of projects and follow up on deliverables
• improve workflows and processes
• support team members with clear briefs and constructive feedback
• coordinate with purchasing and operations so campaigns match stock availability and fulfilment capacity

Depending on your experience, you can take on team leadership from the start or grow into it as your responsibilities expand.

What Ownership Means at MAOMAO

Ownership means understanding the goal and thinking through what it takes to achieve it.

If we're launching a product in four weeks, we want someone who asks:

What are we trying to achieve? Who are we targeting? What's the offer? Which channels should we use? Who owns what? What are the deadlines? What could go wrong? And how will we know whether it worked?

You won't always have complete information. We value someone who makes informed decisions, proposes solutions and learns through testing.

Not every idea will work. What matters is that we learn, adjust and keep moving.

The mindset we're looking for is:

“Here is the opportunity. Here are the options. Here is what I recommend we try next — and how we'll measure it.”

Requirements

Who We're Looking For

We're open to candidates from startups, consulting, banking, growth, e-commerce and digital marketing .

You should:

• have at least 2 years of relevant professional experience
• bring strong analytical and commercial thinking
• have taken ownership of projects and be able to explain your contribution and results
• be highly organized, reliable and proactive
• turn ideas and analysis into structured plans and execution
• prioritize effectively when time and resources are limited
• communicate clearly, follow through and work well with others
• be comfortable working with data, KPIs and budgets
• be willing to experiment, make decisions and learn quickly
• have a strong interest in consumer businesses, e-commerce and social commerce
• be hands-on and enjoy working in a small, fast-moving team
• have fluent German skills (C1 or native-level) for our predominantly German-speaking audience
• have strong working proficiency in English

Direct experience in TikTok Shop, livestreaming, affiliate marketing, CRM, performance marketing or campaign management is a plus.

If you're coming from consulting or banking, we'd like to understand how you've taken a recommendation through to implementation, or otherwise demonstrated that you can get things done.

Previous team leadership experience is welcome, but not essential. Chinese language skills are a plus, but not a requirement.

We care more about how you think, take ownership and deliver results than the university you attended.

You don't need to be an expert in every marketing channel. You do need to learn quickly, understand what matters and take responsibility for outcomes.

Interested?

Send us your CV and a short introduction explaining why you want to join MAOMAO and what excites you about this role.

We'd also like you to answer one question:

Tell us about a project, campaign or experiment you took ownership of. What was the goal, what did you personally do, what was the result, and what did you learn?

Your example can come from marketing, a startup, consulting, banking or another relevant setting. It doesn't have to be a huge project or a perfect success. We're interested in your decisions, your contribution and how you approach problems.

We don't mind if you use AI to help with your application — we use AI too. But if your application could be sent to 50 other companies by simply replacing the company name, it's probably not for us. Show us why MAOMAO, and show us how you think.

If you want to take ownership, move fast and help us grow a category that has been treated as a niche for far too long, we'd love to hear from you.

Maybe you're the Sriracha to our noodle soup. 🌶️🍜
