The Global Procurement Manager is responsible for the strategic management and development of one or more category groups across the entire lifecycle. The role ensures long-term supply risk management & compliance, continuity of supply, price rise mitigation, optimal total cost of ownership (TCO) and continuous development of the global supplier & sourcing portfolio.

Where You Make An Impact

• Develop and implement short-, mid- and long-term procurement & sourcing category strategies (single/multiple sourcing, global vs. local sourcing, etc.)
• Own cost, risk and innovation management within the relevant category
• Build, evaluate and continuously develop a global, competitive and resilient supplier base
• Provide functional leadership and professional guidance to the Category Buyer
• Prepare and lead complex contract and price negotiations
• Use raw material, commodity indexes and supplier performance facts in negotiations to mitigate price rises
• Undertake fact based supplier performance management through scorecards / KPI’s
• Set up and manage RFQs, tenders and award processes
• Analyze sourcing markets, trends, technologies and geopolitical risks
• Builds ESG / sustainability into sourcing criteria
