Internship - Cellular Protocol

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or higher degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, AI/ML, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or a related major.
• Excellent AI-assisted software development and debugging skills (C, C++, Python, scripting), with a deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software engineering practices.
• Proven knowledge of current and legacy cellular communication standards: 5G (NR) and 4G (LTE) with a focus on the physical layer, as well as basic knowledge of UMTS, HSPA, HSPA+, etc.
• Strong fundamentals in Machine Learning and Statistics.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, technical communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience fine-tuning LLMs (e.g., LoRA/PEFT, distillation) and integrating AI solutions into engineering workflows (e.g., RAG, AI agents, MCP, vector databases) from prototype to day-to-day use.
• Strong research mindset with the ability to implement ideas from AI/ML papers, analyze and improve model performance, and convert novel approaches into working prototypes.
• Coursework or previous work experience relating to cellular radios (e.g., Integrated Systems for Cellular Radio) and AI/ML (e.g., Deep Learning, NLP).
• Passionate about solving complex real-world problems in AI/ML and cellular technologies, with a strong understanding of wireless communication concepts.
• Good experience with Shell-scripting (e.g., bash-shell) and automation (Perl, Python).
