Your tasks As a Team Manager HR Operations, you are responsible for leading and managing an HR operations Team to ensure accurate, timely and compliant payroll delivery. Beyond operational excellence, you actively drive continuous improvement, automation and quality enhancement across payroll services. Which tasks can you expect?

Lead the HR Operations Team to deliver high-quality HR outsourcing services in accordance with the scope of the contract and SLAs Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including salary calculations, deductions and tax withholdings Guarantee compliance with all applicable legal, tax, social security and internal company regulations Review and approve payroll results to ensure quality, accuracy and deadlines are met Define team objectives, KPIs and individual development plans Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews and structured 1:1 discussions Collaborate with internal and external auditors during payroll audits Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities Analyze payroll data to proactively identify, investigate and resolve errors or discrepancies Manage vendors and external partners and act as escalation point when required Organize and support testing activities related to system changes Your profile Proven people leadership experience, including coaching, team development and performance management Very good German and good English language skills, both written and spoken Advanced Excel skills Strong service and customer orientation with a clear commitment to quality and reliability Ability to actively listen, lead with empathy and support team members in a constructive and respectful way Strong analytical thinking to assess complex payroll topics, risks and impacts Solution‑oriented and improvement‑driven mindset when optimizing processes and collaboration Clear, confident and target‑group‑oriented communication with employees, stakeholders and external partners High level of resilience, flexibility and assertiveness, especially in escalation situations Openness to digitalization, automation and data‑driven decision‑making Strong team mindset and belief in shared success through collaboration Positive, responsible leadership attitude with a clear role‑model approach Curiosity, learning agility and commitment to continuously developing yourself and your team Experience with agile and/or lean methodologies is an advantage What we offer A dynamic work environment with flexible working hours and remote work options 30 days of annual leave per year, plus Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve as additional days off Stable employment conditions with a permanent employment contract (following a 6-month probation period) Free language courses (during working hours) Company-sponsored health insurance with an additional annual healthcare budget of €600 Annual recreation allowance of €156 net Monthly benefit allowance of €50 net (redeemable with various providers such as Lieferando, REWE, Aral, etc.) Meal allowance of up to €40 net per month Occupational pension scheme Free accident insurance Capital-forming benefits (Vermögenswirksame Leistungen) Bicycle leasing through JobRad Corporate Benefits program offering discounts and perks with more than 800 leading brands Workation program: the possibility to work from any SD Worx location for up to 4 weeks per year (EU only) Employee referral program Learning opportunities through an individual development plan and professional training Career development opportunities: whether you want to deepen your expertise in your field or broaden your knowledge across different areas, SD Worx always offers room for growth.
